Great Way to End the Week!

So far today has been a really good day, aside from my human geography test. I woke up in a good mood (although still exhausted and really would have liked a few more hours of precious sleep) and I decided it was a day where I wanted to "dress up" in a sense. Meaning I felt good, so I wanted to look good! So I threw on my skinny jeans, my black shirt and black boots and hit the pavement with a spring in my step and my head held high! Even though I was only going to philosophy...not too exciting haha. And I completely ignored the fact that my feet hurt until after I took my boots off this afternoon.

The sun has been shining all day and it's the perfect temperature outside! It got a little warmer than expected so I changed into my super cute, blue, flowing tank top. I got Planet Sub for lunch and studied for my human geography test...ew. Yeah I'm not sure how that test went. I think I did well on one of the essay questions and totally bombed the second one. The multiple choice questions were okay and the definitions I think I did really well on. We'll just have to wait and see how that one goes.

I got my test back in Communication Law & Ethics this morning and guess what- I ACED IT! Yeah, as in 100%! AWESOME! It's just been a good day! However, I'm not in the mood to do any homework which could pose a problem due to my extensive work schedule this weekend...grrr. I'll do it then. But maybe have a short nap and some down time. I really need to start going to bed earlier. Eh, oh well!

That's it for now! Let's hope this day stays good!

Marketing Test Down!

Quick post because I really should be going over my part for my presentation tomorrow! Today was mostly a good day. I got through my marketing test and survived! I don't think I did that horrible...at least on most of it. One of the essay questions killed me so we'll see. I at least got 4 of the 8 points...maybe. So I think I'm looking at a B on that test which isn't too bad! I should have studied more...and if I had I would have known the correct answers to the first essay question. So I'm kicking myself for that. But oh well. It's in the past now.

Another highlight of the day is that I put on my red high heels for a brief moment tonight just for fun. They really have magical powers or something lol because they make me feel good! Now if only they were more comfortable to walk in haha! But I'm hoping to wear them soon just to show them a little love! But maybe on a day where there isn't a lot of walking involved...lol

The Little Things are Wonderful!

Things have been so hectic lately and sometimes when that happens, I have a tendency to take things for granted. I feel like with how crazy school has been and work on the weekends I haven't really taken full advantage of what I have in front of me. I have wonderful friends but more importantly a man who loves me with his whole heart.

He and I haven't had much time to talk lately and I can truly say that I miss the sound of his voice and his laughter. He and I have both been so stressed with what we have going in our own lives for the past few weeks, I feel like we've forgotten the little things. Don't get me wrong, I KNOW he still loves me :-) and I still love him! I am just SO MUCH MORE excited to see him next month! It seems like when we're together time sort of slows down. We're actually able to enjoy the little moments together. The good morning kiss, the welcome home, cuddling at night, rubbing his back, laying in his arms, him picking on me, and just being around him. It's just really hard when we're away from each other this long and it takes a toll on both of us. Thankfully we don't have to deal with the distance for that much longer. I hate going to sleep alone and remember how awesome it feels to fall asleep next to him. Waking up isn't the same either. I miss him.

Despite our differences and the stress levels flaring in the past few weeks, I am still in love with him. I always have been and always will be. He has such a good heart and a love unlike any other. He's my other half and reminds me to laugh every day! :-) His smile seriously brightens my day and his eyes get me weak in the knees. Ahhh I can't wait to see him again! 18 days...not too much more! Hehe!

But enough of my sappiness lol I just needed to get that out :-) I'm excited! <3

Slacker!

Wow, I've really been slacking on posting. Things just got so crazy that I guess I just never got around to it. Plus it didn't help that I got sick last Thursday...and had to work Friday and Saturday and all the school stuff I have going on this week. Thank goodness I called off work yesterday. I needed a day to stay in and recover from whatever illness has taken over my body.

I don't really have time to write much more. Yay for early morning Monday class! But I'll make sure to post more later!

xoxo

Worst Daughter Award

So I get the feeling today that I am the worst daughter in the world. I apparently don't appreciate my parents. Apparently I don't take them into consideration. Apparently I make horrible decisions. Apparently I'm just a huge disappointment. It feels great hearing that from someone who's supposed to love you no matter what. It's great knowing they think I use them for money, when I was trying to save them money. Makes sense. Really, it does. I'm the worst daughter in the world for knowing what I want to do and having opinions that don't necessarily go along with theirs. I guess I'm just selfish, inconsiderate, stubborn, and a huge pain in their ass. Way to go, Steph. Way to make the situation better.

I guess I just need to accept that my choices will be considered "bad" and whatever I do won't be "good enough." I'm not who I was expected to be. I am the disappointment.Yep, a huge disappointment...because graduating from a private university with 2 degress and above a 3.5 GPA isn't good enough. Being happy isn't good enough. Who I am isn't good enough.

I don't even know what I would do if I actually did something right for a change. I don't know how I'd react. huh. Odd thing is I can picture it and would love what I see...but reality check sets in and nope.

Yeah. This is just wonderful.

Lack of Letter/Life Update

Haha okay so obviously I haven't done the 30 Day Letter Challenge...and I dunno if I will. Life has been so crazy and it would take me forever to get all 30 letters done. So as much as I want to do it, I don't think I will. *sigh* I feel like a quitter. But at the same time I won't feel obligated to only post those letters and I can go back to using this is my little place in the world to be free. :-)

So let me see, life. What I've been up to: last week was a bad week...let's not get into that. This weekend was really good! I got to hang out with the friends! Jon got to hang out with his friends and do some tattoo work! I worked Saturday and Sunday...I got a lot of homework done. Although Jon and I didn't get to talk much, we caught up on Sunday and on Monday :-) Our save the dates came in and I'm so excited! They look awesome! I cannot wait to see them in person and address them! I'm ahead in my homework so I've had some time to just relax and work on wedding registries! YAY! haha Jon make kill me when he sees what's on them! YAY Christmas stockings! lol But those are needed! I should probably continue to look for more practical items like silverwear, kitchen stuff, and all that. But it's also fun throwing in the cool stuff! Aka that sweet camera on Amazon...*dooo do dooooooo* lol So to put it all together I have awesome friends, fiance (hehe!), parents, and future in-laws! It's been a good past few days and I really hope *fingers crossed* that it stays good for a while!

30 Day Letter Challenge!

Megan told me about this a few days ago and it seems like an awesome, fun idea! So why the heck not! I'll be writing 30 different letters and posting them on here. Some may be to random people, some to the same, some to myself! The list is interesting but I'm really anxious to see what comes out of it! Maybe I'll learn something about myself that I had no idea before! This will be fun!

I just hope I have time to keep up on it! I apologize in advance if it's not 30 days in a row! Life is crazy enough as it is already!

Rest in Peace Caitlyn.

I'm still in shock. I keep looking at her facebook page, waiting for her to post something. I know I haven't talked to her in years, but we were the best of friends in elementary school before she moved. I remember hanging out with her, her brother, and my brother, the four of us playing on the playground. I remember the first time I went to see her in her new house. But the memory that gets me the most is the memory of the last opportunity I had to see her. I was supposed to go spend the night at her house but I couldn't go because I was grounded. That's my last memory of her. And it's not good enough for me. I missed her when she moved and I wanted to keep in touch. But I guess we both just fell apart. I'd look in on her facebook page every once in a while, just curious to what she was up to. She seemed to have become a wonderful person and I'm sad I missed out on having her as a friend.

She was too young to die. She didn't deserve it. She was doing great things and everyone loved her. I just wish I had had that chance to see her one last time. I wish I had had the guts to post on her facebook just to say "hey."

This really hit me hard. I can't even imagine what her family is going through. My thoughts and prayers go out to them. My God be with you and bring you peace.

RIP Caitlyn LeClerc. You won't be forgotten.

1 year!

It's weird to think that a year from today I will be getting married! It seems so far away but at the same time it's so close! Like the date is set and it's going to happen! There is still a lot of planning to do, but for right now I'm going to sit back and relax (at least when it comes to planning). Jon has already ordered the Save-the-Dates and we just need to get those sent out next month when I'm there. This planning thing though is more complicated when we only communicate over the phone and through text. I really wish I could be there to help plan. But it's what we have to work with and everything will get done and it will be amazing!

Update on Life

This past week has been insane. Okay I was sitting pretty when it came to homework as of Saturday. I was already done with homework up until Tuesday...then Sunday hit. I didn't really have time to do any Sunday and now I'm no longer ahead. More like, right on track. Which is good, but I recently remembered *cough* today *cough* that I already have 2 smaller projects and a paper to start thinking about. And also, my human geography teacher decided to add in another assignment. Looking at my planner things are now starting to stack up and it is no longer looking bare.

Not only that, but in my spare time between classes and homework I have been working on wedding plans. It really is a big job to take on, let me tell you! But as of today our venue is booked and Jon and I are both so excited and so relieved at the same time! That has been stressing us both out so much that it was starting to cause problems and I'm just glad we got it dealt with and out of the way. It is beautiful! But it was scary and exciting all at the same time to sign that contract lol. I solidified that it was going to happen. I actually signed my life away lol okay, that's over dramatic, but in a sense true. I signed to officially become his Mrs...well actually that signature will be on the marriage license but this one is confirming the ceremony! It's gonna go down! Sometimes it feels like a dream. Today really did make it a reality! Now we have the fun stuff to plan...well more likely, everything else to plan. Just thinking about it on top of school, homework, and work is crazy and kind of stresses me out.

I know I need to keep working as long as I can to get some sort of an income, but my job has GOT to go by at least finals this semester. After that, I won't be able to handle it. Not with 2 capstones, 3 upper-level classes, and this wedding to plan. Heck, I may have to quit sooner than December...I was thinking after Fall Break or before Thanksgiving...that way I have more weekends available to meet with my parents/go out to Ohio to plan and get stuff together. (Also more time for homework! Can't forget that!) We'll have to see how things go in the next few months. But I think we're okay, at least until October.

That's my life update for now. I'll post again when I have another second to breathe. I should be sleeping now, but stupid me forgot to research our client for advertising and so I had to do that. Which progressed to posting on here because I missed it! lol
